The most obvious distinguishing features of this Bed & Breakfast are the four Ionic columns in the front and the spectacular 156 foot cascading waterfall in the backyard . Named "Tumbling Waters" by the local Seneca tribe, a painting of the falls is on reserve at The Louvre in Paris.

The House

Our home is a fine example of Greek Revival architecture, and is said to be the most photographed house in New York State. This historic house was built in 1845 by William T. Jackson, entrepreneur, lawyer, judge and congressman. With 25 other properties in Montour Falls, it is part of a National Historic Registered District called 'The Glorious T'. Pictures of the house appear frequently in publications about the Finger Lakes region and the house is featured in a two-page spread in the November 1956 "National Geographic" magazine.

Location

At The Falls Bed and Breakfast is located just 2 miles south of Watkins Glen, just a couple of minutes from Watkins Glen International Race Track, Havana Glen, Watkins Glen State Park, and boating on Seneca Lake. It is also close to area wineries, the Corning Museum of Glass, Glenn H. Curtiss Museum, Cornell University, many waterfalls, Seneca Sailing Adventures and Finger Lakes hiking trails.
Visiting Havana Glen and taking The Glorious T walking tour are musts!

The Rooms:

All rooms feature modern private full baths and classic furniture. All rooms have heat, air conditioning, cable television, wireless internet, and ceiling fans. A full, homemade breakfast is included with each night's stay.

This large and well-appointed room overlooks the main street of the lovely village of Montour Falls, the location of the ancient Seneca village where Catharine Montour once led her people. This accommodation features a king or dual twin bed layout, and an extra large bathroom with a view.
